Job Description Summary:
As a member of the Personal Insurance Business Technology Operations (BTO) organization, this position: 1) Creates, maintains, and publishes performance and operational metrics for the BTO organization including the creation and maintenance of executive level dashboards and presentations. 2) Analyzes full spectrum of performance and operational metrics to identify process improvement and performance opportunities. 3) Additionally, this role will be a backup to the BTO Product Queue manager.
This position will report to the BTO Vice President and will also have a matrix reporting relationship with the Managing Director of the Performance Analytics team in Countrywide Products & Services.
Job Components: - Meet management information needs of BTO organization according to established standards, including problem research/resolution and customer education. - Create and execute the plan for any changes required to the infrastructure (tools, processes, templates, etc.) for all BTO metric reporting. - Maintain, publish and improve executive level dashboards and presentations. - Analyze and interpret all performance and operational metrics to identify trends and forecast future opportunities. - Manage and grow the overall vision for organizational level metric tracking and reporting. - Maintain a baseline of all performance targets, accurately communicate variances over time, recommend new performance metrics or process improvements in response to variances. - Work closely with all BTO technology leads to support Resource Capacity and Metrics Reporting tools. - Support department budgeting and re-forecasting. - Serve as a functional backup to the BTO Product Queue manager which manages all support requests, enhancements and project related requests for the Product Management Organization.
Job Competencies/Qualifications: - Strong critical thinking skills. Ability to apply operational and financial concepts to data from multiple sources to provide summarized results. - Problem solving skills. Uses innovative insights and creativity in analyzing and evaluating operational and performance metrics. - Drives and delivers results with an attention to detail and commitment to task. Flexible to changing priorities. - Strong time management and organization skills. Capable of executing tasks on-time with a high degree of accuracy while working on multiple initiatives simultaneously. - Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop and present material to convey financial and non-financial metrics & results to management level audiences. - Advanced to expert level personal computing skills with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other Microsoft software (Visio, etc). - 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience. - Solid understanding of personal insurance products and systems. - Minimum of 1-2 years experience.
