SUMMARY: The Information Technology Leadership Development Program (ITLDP) is an accelerated four-to-five year rotational program emphasizing leadership development for college graduates looking to pursue a career in Information Technology. Participants complete rotations of increasing complexity, depending on prior work experience. Each rotation averages 12 months in length, but can vary from six to fifteen months.
PRIMARY DUTIES: The program is multi-faceted and offers a technology, business and management-oriented development curriculum that includes training in cutting edge technologies, insurance, strategy and leadership development. Other program components include formal mentoring, networking and career guidance. The program¿s single goal is the development of high potential candidates into leaders at Travelers. The program is concentrated in Hartford, CT but also offers opportunities in other locations.
EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY: Undergraduate or graduate degree with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher; suggested majors include: Computer Science, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics with a minor in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications
WORK EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated leadership experience Related work experience, including internships, is preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong analytical and communication skills
