Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Vice President Crawford e-Learning Services, independently conducts research and program development of instructional materials in an electronic learning format suitable for learning events for both company employees and the insurance community, at large, on a commercial basis. Additionally, designs, develops, and delivers training in the employment of the distance learning technology platform to external clients who have been provided our system as a hosting solution for e- Learning.
Responsibilities: - Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct at all times.
- Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
- Research and develop insurance topics and instructionally design materials for conversion to an e-Learning format.
- Applies sound instructional design principles to assure learner interaction and content retention.
- Provides for the conversion of existing training documentation to an e-Learning format.
- Provides for the periodic revision of existing training modules for currency of information and adaptation of best practices in instructional design.
- Independently provides for the training of internal and external clients in system administration and modules conversion processes.
- Manage and contribute to the Expert Forum providing content solutions to learners.
- Provide for the enhancement and update of online Performance Support tools and technologies.
Required: * Experience in distance learning methodologies, platforms, trends and instructional design methodologies an asset. * Possesses in-depth knowledge relating to the contents, requirements, and methodologies involved in instructional design and adult learning theory. * Excellent training platform skills and group presentation skills. * Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point) and distance learning platform technologies as well as familiarity with Microsoft Project, Visio, and Lotus Notes an asset.
Preferred: * College degree with emphasis in education or instructional design.
