Private Risk Services Customer Service Rep
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • This position will be the first point of contact for the agents and insureds needing assistance with the following: quotes, system inquires, and training on how to use the Personal Lines System. • Provide agents and insureds with different coverage options by 'up-selling' and 'cross-selling' initiatives while on the phone conversations. • Provide phone support for agents requesting assistance with the Personal Lines System including, but, not limited to assisting with entering quotes, checking on the status of a quote, pre-renew a policy. • Handling phone calls regarding system inquires and entries for new business, quotes, endorsements, and billing questions and discrepancies.
JOB SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: • Strong customer service skills including oral and written communication • Proven ability to handle high-profile or high visibility customers. • Property and Casualty experience is preferred. • Ability to understand and interpret insurance coverage/products, and policy language. • Ability to handle multiple priorities within strict time constraints. • Possesses the ability to work independently to complete assignments in a timely manner • Demonstrate commitment to team and departmental goals • Ability to make informed decisions, achieving the appropriate results • Excellent data entry skills are required. • May be requested and required to work a 'swing' shift (11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) • Knowledge of PID systems, or ability to quickly learn those systems relevant to the position or task(s) assigned. • Excellent organizational skills required. • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem solving skills with the persistence to resolve them completely. • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Word and Excel
