1) Makes timely and appropriate contacts andcompletes appropriate level of investigation to make determination of coverage,liability and damages, on commercial APD Claims. 2) Determines exposure, establishes adequateinitial reserves and makes timely adjustments as required. 3) Assigns and directs activities of internal andexternal resources as required; including independent adjusters and appraisers. 4) Identifies questionable claims and consultswith SIU for further direction as appropriate. Determines settlement value ofthe loss and negotiates proper settlement of claims within authority. 5) Provides recommendations for settlement anddisposition of claims exceeding authority level. 6) Documents clearly and concisely all relevantactivity on assigned files and makes recommendations for additional activity asappropriate. 7) Anticipates and meets all customer needs(internal and external). Requirements: A full understanding of Commercial lines insurancepolicies Experience with investigating claims Proven ability to work a highvolume of claims at any given period. Experience with internet and other typesof Claims systems Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have 2 - 3 yearsexperience as a Commercial Lines APD Claims Representative. Licensingin states requiring a license a plus.
