The Senior Financial Analyst will conduct data development and analysis in support of management goals. This individual will prepare financial models and provide consultation to management and peers regarding trends, forecasting and future planning and support management via both scheduled and ad hoc reports and analysis. The successful candidate will quantify the impacts of various company initiatives on results.

The successful candidate will develop and maintain business cases and other financial analyses to support capital investments and key decisions, and develop metrics and mechanics to track benefits realization.

Additional responsibilities include:

•Develop and implement tools and processes for tracking and monitoring project and department spending.

•Provide financial analyses to support project prioritization and portfolio management.

•Prepare ad hoc analyses (staffing models, cost/benefit analyses, resource utilization, etc.) to support Underwriting, Claims, Customer Services, and Executive management.

•Research and explain variances to forecasts.

•Research, document, and monitor expense allocations.


To be considered for this opening, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of documented experience within a finance department, or similar. This individual will have the ability to perform step down and variance analysis and "run rate" and "gap" analysis.

The successful candidate must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills in order to work effectively with internal and external customers. Finally, the ideal candidate must possess basic training and coaching skills to cross train peers.

An MBA or a college degree with an emphasis in Finance, Economics, Math or Business is preferred. Strong skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are required.

•Forecasting/planning experience in a dynamic, changing environment.

•Ability to develop and execute priorities and plans for self and/or others, including sound time management and organization skills.

•Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals and perspectives.

•Ability to independently structure work assignments and manage them to successful completion.

•Experience in the insurance industry a plus.

Salary range is $65-100k depending on experience.
