|
Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of complex and/or multiple projects or systems. Develops the program strategy, supporting business cases and various high-level project plans. Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed across the full range of responsibilities based on the needs of the business and integrates plans with the plans of other managers across the portfolio. Communicates with IT leadership, business leadership (as needed) and IT vendor partners to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.
Responsible for delivering all projects contained in the program on time, within budget and meeting the strategic and business requirements. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and communicating adjustments to Project Managers. Responsible for managing vendor SLAs and relationship with vendor project managers. Partners with senior leadership of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.
Manage the Workers Compensation system (WCS) and ACE Wrap systems. Ensure system is available for customer usage based on the SLA. Systems need to be reliable and scaleable with sustained acceptable performance.
Support and help to manage the transition from the existing vendor to the new strategic vendor.
Reduce current backlogs of enhancements, form changes, problems and WC pols items.
Desired Qualifications
Working knowledge of the Workers compensation products and systems.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field. Project Management certificate may be required. Or equivalent work experience.
Typically has 7+ of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role and 5 years managing projects. Typically requires strong technical knowledge in assigned IT function as well as broad knowledge in other disciplines/technologies/processes that interact with the assigned function. Strong business process, financial management and related insurance skills. Experience managing vendor relationships Critical Skills
