Title: ACE Custom Casualty Underwriter
To execute the ACE Custom Casualty growth and underwriting business strategies by executing upon established team action plans and goals for the region. As a key underwriting member of the ACE Custom Casualty team in the assigned region, this position will work with their local manager to achieve profitable underwriting results through the growth, development, and underwriting of our 'Core' Custom Casualty business. This position will be responsible for achieving Profitability & Production Goals, meeting Overall Branch Governance standards, and active participation within the regional Custom Casualty team.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Position will be responsible for the following activities:
Profitability & Production
Goal Achievement - Delivering upon the established New and Renewal business goals as provided by the Regional manager. This will include Premium projections as well as all Policy Acquisition and Travel & Expense budgets.
Growth Strategies - Executing upon the assigned roles per the written regional marketing plans and strategies. This includes:
Key Client & Broker Relations including Sales Calls & attendant strategies Completing Target Account responsibilities & Cross Sell Strategies
Underwriting Integrity - Achieving all underwriting standards as outlined by the ACE Custom Casualty Home office and all applicable Underwriting Guidelines, Authorities, and Position Papers. This includes: § Risk Selection § Pricing & Attachments including Rate Change Goals § Terms & Conditions
Branch Administrative
Ensuring the achievement of all divisional standards with regards to all administrative responsibilities. These include: § Accurate & Timely Policy Issuance § Accurate Billings § Manuscript Form & Endorsement processes § File Construction and Documentation
Performance Measures · Achievement of Premium Goals & Budgets · Adherence to Underwriting Goals, Guidelines & Objectives · Actuarial Profitability studies on Book of business · Results of Underwriting Audits (conducted by any party)
Qualifications This role will require: Minimum of 3 Years Underwriting Experience Business Acumen Working Level of Product Knowledge including: Exposure Analysis Form & Coverages Rating Principles and Mechanics Negotiation & Presentation Skills Experience with Broker Relations & Customer Management Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skill Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
