General
The ACE Complete Manager is responsible for the management of the ACE Complete underwriting facility and the underwriters supporting the on-line WC product. Responsibilities include overall tactical work responsibilities for reaching production and bottom line profitability goals of the ACE Complete book of business in the Northeast and/or Mid-Atlantic territories.
Responsibilities
· Manages the implementation of WC strategy and adherence to underwriting guidelines for ACE Complete book of business
· Responsible for quality of the ACE Complete book of business monitored through underwriting self-audit, agency audit procedures and other monitoring procedures such as loss control report review, experience rating review, etc.
· Reports various quality measures to ACE WC Senior Management, provides analysis of results and recommendations for improvement
· Responsible for overall management and monitoring of ACE Complete broker relationships use of footprint reports, monthly production and claims reports. Provides evaluation and makes recommendations for improvements/changes with brokers to increase our profitability
· Works with support units (Billing, Regulatory, Rate Management, Loss Control, Claims etc.) to ensure profitability and quality service for ACE Complete and its customers
· Work effectively with WC management team and ACE IT to develop and implement ACE Complete systems enhancements and identify on-going maintenance and other needed improvements
· Overall administrative responsibility for team of ACE Complete underwriters supporting the on-line facility.
· Responsible for underwriting referral for accounts outside of ACE Complete facility subject to limited underwriting authority,
Qualifications
· Demonstrated leadership, initiative and influence management skills as evidenced by a minimum of ten years of managerial experience in the insurance field.
· Must have significant experience in dealing with retail and or wholesale brokers in areas such as customer service, problem solving, and training/education.
· Proven ability to direction, technical guidance and developmental opportunities to promote team excellence and achieve business goals.
· Three to five years of underwriting experience is strongly preferred; working knowledge of workers' compensation preferred.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively provide a high quality product to our brokers and insureds. Ability to motivate staff and maintain a positive organizational image.
· Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
· Intermediate to advanced computer skills in various programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to create Excel pivot tables.
· Prior e-commerce, program underwriting or a working knowledge of internet systems a plus.
