Scope: Reports to Select Operations Director/Manager for assigned business segment(s). Responsibilities include providing clerical and administrative support. Provides support within established performance standards and priorities that are responsive to marketing, underwriting, retention and service goals. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with business unit customer service and expense management focus.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Registers (logs) new business submissions into appropriate system(s) and distributes accordingly.
Updates appropriate system(s) for submission declinations.
Review, distribute and process incoming mail including identifying and sending appropriate correspondence to Business Centers.
Provide administrative support by setting up files, typing correspondence, file maintenance and handling phones and 800 number.
Process checks according to check handling procedures
Iron Mountain procedures for declinations
Record Retention procedures
Participates in projects/assignments as needed.
Work Experience: General office, administrative and commercial insurance experience preferred. Knowledge of the underwriting environment and insurance support functions which may include rating responsibilities. Computer software literacy required.
