Currently we are seeking an experienced Loss Control Manager to effectively manage the assigned region to increase revenue and profitability of the company through the provision of full, quality loss control services, ensuring that both new and existing policyholders receive appropriate loss control services. The selected candidate will mentor and coach the Loss Control staff to provide delivery of technical expertise in health and safety in all lines of business and provide quality service to policyholders, underwriters and producers to assist them in the reduction and control of claims and losses and potential loss exposures.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, in addition to partnering with internal and external customers to develop and maintain strong business relationships. Will also be responsible for regular marketing-related contacts with Agencies and accounts located throughout the Midwest Region. The territory consists of the Midwestern states of Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Missouri. The selected candidate will work preferably in our Midwest Regional Office in Carmel, IN and report to the Regional AVP of Underwriting.
Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree and 4 years underwriting or safety experience * Thorough knowledge of the principles of loss control applied in a commercial multi-line P&C environment * Thorough knowledge of the independent agency system & producers in the Midwest Region * Extensive knowledge of industry-wide safety principles, practices, and procedures * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills * Excellent knowledge of management and supervision principles * Extensive knowledge of relevant State and Federal laws and regulations * Commitment to cultivating and maintaining strong partnerships with all internal and external customers * Valid driver’s license with good driving history * Flexibility for necessary travel & occasional overnight stays
