Job Summary: Provides a broad range of clerical functions in support of Underwriting Administration. The main duty includes performing data entry functions.
Essential Job Functions: 1. Perform data entry functions in conjunction with current company guidelines and procedures. 2. Identify processing errors/discrepancies prior to handling and ensures the data integrity of information. 3. Order various reports (MVRs and inspections) for personal automobile and homeowner policies. 4. Cross reference applications to ensure that no other applications or policies exist for the same insured. 5. Compile and mail policy documentation in compliance with UW guidelines. 6. Perform clerical duties as instructed by the Underwriters, Supervisor and/or Manager. 7. Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.
Other Functions: 1. Regular and reliable attendance. 2. Work in cooperation with team members to meet the goals of the department and Company. 3. Able to work as part of a team and interface daily with team members. 4. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications for Position: -College Degree preferred -At least two years of Data Entry experience -Efficient and accurate typing skills -Organized with attention to detail -Ability to process items quickly and accurately -Good oral and written communication skills -PC skills with knowledge of Word and Excel -Problem solving ability -Ability to work as a team member
