We are currently seeking a Commercial Lines Underwriting Supervisor to be responsible for evaluating the performance of all unit underwriters to ensure adherence to Company underwriting policy, providing technical guidance on difficult account problems and effectively managing the unit's workflow.
Four year degree or equivalent business experience and at least 3-5 years of underwriting and/or general insurance agency experience is required. IIA programs (particularly General Insurance, AU and AAI coursework) or CPCU, and RPLU or similar professional liability coursework is preferred. Prior supervisory experience and/or company-sponsored supervisory training is required prior to assuming the responsibilities of this position. PC aptitude is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills are required. This is an exempt position.
