The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Marketing & Distribution AVP of Commercial Lines in our Worcester, MA office.
Position Overview: Reporting to a VP of Marketing & Distribution you will lead the creation, development, and implementation of innovative initiatives that drive top and bottom line growth in Commercial Lines business, focusing on middle market, marine and specialty business resulting in the creation of high-penetration, meaningful partnerships with more agents.
Responsibilities: Develop initiatives and manage overall execution of Commercial Lines programs that yield greatest economic return and incremental value creation for our agents and Hanover Partner with Regional Vice Presidents to improve Sales effectiveness Serve as “thought partner” to VP, Marketing & Distribution and respective business unit Presidents Facilitate high quality, consistent feedback from agents and utilize this feedback to advance marketing, distribution and sales Analyze and assess business opportunities and results working with business analysts
Bachelors Degree 5+ years proven track record in middle market/specialty commercial lines with experiences in underwriting, sales, and/or marketing Self starter who willing takes ownership of developing and implementing marketing/distribution initiatives, and can work effectively within a team environment Ability to collaborate with and influence across all areas of the commercial lines organization; leadership, management, and underwriting Create end-to-end program approach that brings forth consistency in best practices for marketing/distribution along with an accountability for the outcomes Effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and very fast-paced environment Possess strong quantitative/analytical aptitude; to enable finding new opportunities while understanding outcomes and gain Excellent communication skills are essential; effective face-to-face interactions, presentations to groups, as well as sound writing skills Passion for driving actions and achieving results, with a competitive spirit of winning
