The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Agency Compensation, in our Worcester, MA location.
Position Overview/Summary:
Manages the execution around all agency compensation programs including standard commissions, special provisions and bonus plans. Integrates new businesses and products into compensation programs. Aligns compensation to desired performance and results. Collaborates with business leaders in home office and field on program design and execution. Directly manages two individual contributors.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Leads design efforts of compensation programs in collaboration with stakeholders in the home office and field. Standard Commissions – oversight of schedules, partner with businesses on commission strategy execution, and streamline process around changes. Lead multifunctional team in the adoption of a new commissioning system. Uncover opportunities to save money due to commission schedule inconsistency. Bonus Plan – Annual program design and process oversight of all facets of the bonus plan results tracking and payment. Special provisions – work closely with businesses, and Marketing and Distribution peers to design most effective tools to drive behavior. Manages processes behind the programs. Drive process improvement resulting in quicker response times, accurate accruals, elimination of low value work and expense savings. Design an effective total agency compensation view. Manage subject matter experts.
