In this position you will develops, coordinate, implement, and communicate policies and procedures related to the organization’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that EDI-related processes and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and integration projects.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with various departments within the organization to analyze, design, and develop specifications for enhancements and extensions to the EDI application interfaces. • Test, implement, and maintain EDI transactions. • Maintain detailed knowledge of state and federal regulatory systems. Keep abreast of state and federal regulatory changes and enhancements. • Support relationships with state regulators to enhance the organizational reputation and standing within various states. • Reconcile daily EDI rejections and resubmit transactions as appropriate. Coordinate with various departments to ensure that rejections are cleared within regulatory timeframes. Recognize and track trends in rejection errors and make recommendations for improvement to various departments. • Reconcile the Florida CPS Indemnity and Medical modules monthly. Calculate any fines or penalties that are payable and process accounts payable vouchers for payments. • Provide a monthly and year to date management report to capture all fines and penalties paid as a result of EDI activities. • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing with internal and external parties on a wide variety of EDI related issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ degree or 4 or more years of equivalent work experience required. • Experience with EDI processes and/or systems is highly preferred •Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously. • Proven critical thinking skills that demonstrate analysis/judgment and sound decision making with focus on attention to details. • Knowledge of WC regulations, preferably jurisdiction-specific. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent customer service skills. • Ability to remain calm under duress and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. • Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Office Product Suite, i.e. WORD, Excel, PowerPoint. • Willingness to travel for business purposes; Travel less than 10 %.
