Job Purpose: Incumbents in this position participate in the development and implementation of solutions to data quality problems, with a focus on the coordination of edit changes.
Major Duties: Work with the team and business partners to develop solutions to data quality problems. Includes analysis, documentation, business requirements, test plans, testing, and post-production monitoring.
Coordinate edit changes. Includes analysis of the edit requests for accuracy and appropriateness, EAC (internal) and ETG (external) review, updates to the edit matrices, circulars and training where appropriate.
Participate as a lead or data quality SME on PMO projects.
Review the results of data quality and data anomaly monitoring tests and implement action plans as indicated.
Required Education, Experience & Skills: 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience. 3 years data management experience in the insurance industry or a related industry.
Working knowledge of one or more languages or applications used to extract and analyze data such as MS Excel/MS Access/SAS/SQL. Basic understanding of relational database theory. Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external management.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: Understanding of NCCI rules and procedures for reporting data. Understanding of insurance industry data collection and reporting practices.
Any certification or professional designation from: The Insurance Institute of America, American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters, Insurance Data Management Association
