We currently have an opening for an IT intern to join the OneBeacon Insurance team at our headquarters in Canton, MA.

Responsibilities:

1) Installs, configures and maintains client operating systems, hardware and related utilities according to defined standards. 

2) Responds to routine PC/mobile and server add/change requests from the Customer Service Center and client base. 

3) Provides level II support to those individuals experiencing problems with PC/mobile or server hardware, operating systems, related utilities or back-office software.

4) Ensured that customer tickets are opened for all problems and requests via OneBeacon tracking system.

5) Provide basic operational user support to PBX (telephony system).

 

Requirements:
 
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and other applicable applications and programs.

Basic knowledge and understanding of various hardware products, operating systems, related utilities, and back-office systems. Must be able to diagnose and analyze basic problems. 

Excellent customer support/service skills, as well as communication skills are essential.
 

Education and Experience:

College Student either in junior or senior year pursuing IT related degree or IT field of work. 

Duration of internship may be  up to 6 months.
