POSITION SUMMARY: This position is the primary resource to effectively promote, develop and account manage the Enterprise Dashboard project. The individual will be involved in analysis, requirements definition, designing, developing, training and promoting current and future phases of the Enterprise Dashboard for senior management within Citizens Property Insurance. The individual will work closely with senior management and business unit management to ensure that effective and appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are presented in an easy to use interface with graphics and drill-down capabilities. Additionally, this individual will also assist with the development of requirements and designs to leverage scorecard functionality that is available with the Cognos 8 Business Intelligence application suite. This individual will also be responsible for the data warehouse architecture, data warehouse data modeling standards, data warehouse and reporting standards and procedures, data definitions development, data issues and reconciliation, and communications activities specifically for the Citizens Data Warehouse environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: THE FOLLOWING ARE THE USUAL, BASIC AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION. THESE FUNCTIONS ARE NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS AN EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF ALL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND SKILLS REQUIRED. · Promotes, develops and account manages the Enterprise Dashboard project. · Works closely with senior management and business unit management to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are presented in an easy to use Enterprise Dashboard interface with graphics and drill-down capabilities. · Assists in the core Software Development Lifecycle processes of Dashboard functionality with the Cognos 8 BI application suite, including analysis, requirements definition, design, development, testing and training. · Assists with the requirements, design, development and testing of Scorecard functionality via the Cognos 8 Business Intelligence application suite. · Provides requirements, as needed and works collaboratively with IT Reporting staff to identify and provide business intelligence solutions. Assists IT Report team with existing and new information management projects. · Utilizes Cognos Report and Metrics Studio to present information to management staff. Serves as Cognos expert with Dashboard and Scorecard functionality. · Architect Business Intelligence solutions to promote reuse and maintainability. · Evangelize, document and publish data warehouse data modeling standards, data warehouse and reporting standards and procedures and data definitions. · Architect a Data Warehouse environment including Reporting, Mapping and Error handling processes, procedures and data structures. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: · Knowledge of Cognos 8 Business Intelligence products including Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio or equivalent Business Intelligence tools. · Knowledge of Dashboard and Scorecard or Executive Information System (EIS) functionality and capabilities. · Relational, OLAP, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Multi-Dimensional database modeling and design skills. · Strong SQL query, data analysis and report writing skills. · Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, required. · An ability to be flexible and work within a team environment. · Strong quantitative, data analysis and analytical skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field. Experience can substitute for the degree. · A minimum of three years Reporting and Information Delivery experience. · A minimum of three years Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse architectures experience. · Minimum five years of prior SQL Development and Report Writing experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Insurance related information delivery experience. · Property & Casualty insurance and experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: · This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, hear and converse over the telephone, and key frequently on a computer (4 or more hours per day).
