Vice President Product Manager DBA, ERC, EL
Grade 32-33
Key Objective
Foreign Casualty Product Manager for the Defense Base Act Product Line including the coverages attendant to employers' responsibility covers employers' liability, employee assistance, and employers' repatriation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Product management of underwriting strategies appetite, qualification, selection, pricing, service coordination, marketing, compliance and profit and loss for all Foreign Casualty Business.
Scope Information
Include operating budget revenue goals, reporting relationships # of direct/indirect reports etc.
500+ accounts / 70.0mm in revenue. Staff includes 4 underwriters and 2 underwriter assistants. Reports to Sr. Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer.
Minimum Requirements
Experienced Casualty leader with 15+ years experience with strong knowledge base in DBA and/or Workers Compensation as an underwriter and manager of Commercial Lines. Strong technical foundation in coverage analysis, pricing, risk selection with a results orientation and strong leadership and accountability and outcome focus.
Desired Qualification
• Excellent contract knowledge especially surrounding regulatory compliance with government oversight standards and expectations
• Working knowledge of claims administration and processes
• International experience desired but not required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Strong national broker relationship skills and appreciation for client risk management needs
• Pragmatic problem solver
