KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Global Systems Server and Storage Lead will set policy and provide guidance to the Windows and UNIX System teams regarding the configuration and management of production and IT Windows server infrastructure, as well as integration with ACE's Unix/Linux systems. The Lead will develop and deploy tools that aid in the management of ACE's Windows and UNIX server systems.
The Global Systems Server adn Storage Lead will design ACE policies around, and where necessary deploy the tools for, robust, scalable applications for asset management, configuration management, OS installation, access management, application installation and management, monitoring, etc. The Lead will present policies and processes to technical peers and management as necessary, and work with peers and project management to ensure implementation. The Server Tower Lead will also need to ensure that appropriate authentication and encryption technology is used in the environment; he/she will perform other duties as assigned.
More specifically, the Lead will be responsible for:
? Collecting and analyzing financial, performance and service level data for their tower (globally)
? Assist in the definition of the global configuration of infrastructure (number of datacenters, footprint of their tower, etc.)
? Execute the global configuration strategy for their service tower in close alignment with other towers
? Define the standards and governance of those standards and expenditures for their service towers
? Understand the existing sourcing environment and options globally
? Investigate/implement new technologies, methodologies, and/or paradigms relating to their tower that could enhance the infrastructure stability and efficiency thereby reducing manual administration
? Maintain best practices and processes for service management and delivery
? Achieve and maintain global optimization of financial, performance and service levels
? Execute and deliver their service(s) to the business constituents
? Lead the implementation of global IT standards and processes
? Collaborate with vendors and application development, to investigate operational, hardware and telecommunications problems impacting their tower
? Collaborate fully with the delivery teams to improve overall delivery of infrastructure services and site support

QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, candidates will have:
? A minimum of 10 years experience in IT infrastructure, particularly in the Server and Storage space
? People management, major project management, and business administration experience
? A broad understanding of emerging technologies and extensive expertise in multi-platform hardware and software technologies
? Demonstrated skills in effective client relationship management, Service Management, and a track record in delivering results.
? An in-depth knowledge of the business and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization globally are essential.
? Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field.
? Project Management certificate preferred; or equivalent work experience.
