The PIP Unit Manager is responsible for managing a PIP claims handling unit within the Davie, FL Corporate Office location.

Responsibilities & Objectives

·         Responsible for claims results for a unit.

·         Ensure team members provide customers with appropriate level of service and quality.

·         Interview, hire, train, develop and monitor performance of staff.

·         Provide leadership to unit team members.

·         Keep files on diary and provide input and administer payment authority.

·         Responsible for file handling quality in accordance with Claims Guidelines and Department of Insurance Regulations.

·         Audit employees’ work.

·         Recognize and communicate issues to Management.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

PREREQUISITES

Education

• Bachelors degree required
• Successful completion of AEI – Legal Principles claims law course and/or industry recognized coursework preferred 

Experience & Skills

·         3 – 5 years claims experience

·         Previous management experience preferred

·         Proven leadership skills

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
