GENERAL SUMMARY

To support the Enterprise in the overall management of significant Workers Compensation claim exposures, with an emphasis on WC Excess/ Buffer Claims. Providing Customer Support to the overall Program and interacting with internal and external customers to resolve Program issues. Support and execution of the WC Line of Business technical product strategy.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Provide technical oversight on significant and/or comples workers' compensation claims with an emphasis on excess/buffer claims
• Support the development of technical policies, procedures, workflows; provide technical direction to TPA's / Self Administrators re Claim Management strategies
• Responsible for identifying claim technical improvement opportunities; work with claim technical staff to achieve continual improvement
• Provide support to the other Enterprise Business Units in the overall management of all Excess/Buffer programs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
• Bachelor’s degree

Experience
• 10+ years Workers' Compensation experience required, with 5+ years Supervisory experience in the management of complex WC Claims
• WC Excess claim management experience desired
• Claims Management experience in a Corporate and/or Home Office setting desired
• Claim Auditing experience preferred
• Customer Service level experience preferred
• Management experience preferred

Skills
• Proficient in workers' compensation claim management strategies
• Proficient in providing oversight direction on significant and/or complex workers compensation claims
• Proven ability to push complex claims to resolution
• Proficient in workers’ compensation excess claim management strategies
• Ability to effectively manage risk and associated cost
• Ability to meet established performance objectives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical thinking / Creativity / Initiative
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Physical
• Occasional bending, reaching, and light physical effort (under 10 pounds) required
• Travel required
