Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our team in Dallas, TX.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Independently conduct inside or outside investigation of complex claims. Conclude claims based on analysis of the facts, liability and statutory/case law. Represents and advances the success of the organization through their relationships with agents, policyholders and insured.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Investigate losses through interviews, recorded statements, data/documentation gathering and securing and preserving evidence.
  • Evaluate liability and damages; identify and pursue subrogation/salvage opportunities. Identify suspicious claims and refer or handle appropriately. Promptly establish and maintain accurate reserves.
  • Investigate, evaluate and submit recommendations on complex coverage issues to Corporate Claims.
  • Develop strategy and negotiate claims to timely conclusion.
  • Determine need for and direct counsel, independent adjusters or other technical experts. Monitor and control their costs. Attend hearings, pre-trial conferences, trials, etc., as required.
  • Keep agents, insurers and company personnel advised of file status as required. Assist in the technical training of other personnel.
  • Promotes, markets and otherwise advances the Company through relationships with our PFS agents and their clients.
  • Makes presentations, conducts meetings or visits with agents, insurers, policyholders, prospective accounts or other groups related to claim resolution, service or technical issues.
  • As assigned, assume responsibility for large account coordination or other special projects of a complex and highly technical nature.
  • Other activities as assigned by management.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have approximately 5 years of experience providing quality investigation and analysis to adjust claims to proper conclusion. Must have experience with commercial general liability and auto claims. Exposure to claims involving coverage issues and reservation of rights letters needed. Experience working independently, handling the most complex matter, in commercial Auto and General Liability lines, including working with defense counsel on litigated claims needed. Must also have very strong communication skills.
