The HO Property Claim Department of OneBeacon Insurance has an opening for a General Adjuster in Colorado.
The position will be responsible for the direct handling of large and often complex property losses, the vast majority of which will be commercial lines. Qualified candidates must be available for immediate overnight travel.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the direct handling of large Commercial Lines claims. An existing background as a general adjuster or executive general adjuster is required.
Desired Skills:
Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate strong working skills in the following areas:
1. CL Coverage Analysis.
2. Business Interruption/Extra Expense evaluations and calculation.
3. A clear understanding of the elements of bad faith claim handling practices.
4. Negotiation and Dispute Resolution.
5. Written and Spoken Communication.
6. Interpersonal Interaction with claim contacts.
7. Organized, structured, and self-disciplined daily routines including diary maintenance.
8. Adaptability/Flexibility.
9. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, electronic estimating systems, and an overall proficiency in electronic systems and data management.
10. Vendor management and budgeting.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor?s degree preferred. Technology Losses. Industry certifications and designations are desired.
Location:
This position in Colorado based, however qualified candidates in AZ will be considered.
