SUMMARY
Assist attorneys in all aspects of legal case preparation and file management including moderate to advanced legal research, drafting routine to complex documents and collection of information relevant to cases.
PRIMARY DUTIES
* Conduct investigations through personal interviews.
* Review and analyze various reports, responses and records.
* Determine scope, direction and depth of legal research on assigned projects
* May prepare case summaries, medical record summaries, pleadings, discovery responses, affidavits and other legal documents.
* Interacts with Claim clients, experts, and others across the enterprise
* Assist in case file handling
* Expert witness search, retention and monitoring
* Drafting and completion of complex discovery compliance
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Superior grammar and writing skills
* Superior analytical skills
* Strong working knowledge of law office operations
* Moderate to complex research skills
* Superior interpersonal skills
* Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office products
* Proven success in working independently as well as in a pooled environment
* Able to think outside of the box
* Able to juggle responsibilities quickly and successfully complete multiple projects
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE
* Advanced legal/medical terminology knowledge
* Advanced local court/jurisdictional bar knowledge
* Trial preparation experience
* Mediation experience
* Associate''s Degree or Bachelor''s Degree strongly preferred
* Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-certified program strongly preferred
* Minimum 7 years relevant paralegal and litigation experience required
