QUALIFICATIONS Successful Sales Reps need highly effective communication skills-oral, written and group, as well as persuasion and negotiation skills. They should enjoy meeting and talking with people, and have the superior interpersonal skills necessary to build rapport with prospective and existing cutomers. Organizational skills and effective time management are required to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment. Analytical skills are necessary to understand complex coverage details and underwriting guidelines. This position requires that incumbents attain and maintain current state insurance license in property, casualty and life. Thorough training is provided. Bachelor''s degree, related sales or service experience, and/or professional insurance designation are pluses.
In connection with your job posting for this position, an investigative consumer report will be obtained on you, which will include criminal conviction records and a credit report. The appropriate disclosure/release forms will be provided to you for your signature. These reports are necessary for internal positions with fiduciary responsibility, or which require licensing appointments.
