Title: New Business Rep
Location: Richardson, TX
Essential Job Functions – New Business Rep, Richardson, Texas
Under supervision, this position is responsible for evaluating, coding and issuing new business for individual life and annuity. Accountable for customer inquiries, account updates, and product/form inquiries. Provide written and verbal correspondence to address specific needs.
Other duties include:
• Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Interpret multiple benefit plans
• Verify Agent information for AML training and ensure commissions paid correctly.
• Verify coverage eligibility and if underwriting must be completed.
• Assemble contract/policy based on pertinent state guidelines for mailing to Agent of client
• Perform follow-up calls to other companies for status of transfer.
• Respond to all written correspondence and telephone inquiries regarding various products from clients.
• Process reissues, alterations and conversions and verify that all activities are completed in an accurate manner.
• Process spousal continuations and not-takens.
• Learn different products and services offered and acquire the knowledge as to the impacts to other areas prior to taking action or making decisions.
• Prepare written correspondence to address specific needs.
• Provide administrative support to divisional teams.

The selected candidate will meet the following criteria:
• High School degree or GED.
• One year related experience in a high volume setting.
• Interpersonal skills with emphasis on team environment.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Organizational skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes, and Internet.
• Project a positive and professional image.
