SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for coordinating technical testing and problem resolution of the Reinsurance strategic applications.  The candidate will be responsible for release management.  The candidate will be responsible for researching and following through on issue resolution.  The candidate will establish use of automated test tools.  This new position will support the Reinsurance Roadmap program, which is a 5 year phased new development effort.

In this role, the candidate will work directly with the technology project owners, business stakeholders, support and infrastructure teams to ensure standard process, tools implementation and monitoring and scheduling of environments and test for all teams. The candidate will be responsible for defining the testing tools and automation strategy, as well as developing and implementing a standard Release Management process for the Reinsurance Program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the scheduling of all QA and UAT environments to ensure project  flow, eliminate conflicts and manage through issues to ensure we keep projects on schedule
- Maintain the test environment, and track/communicate technically testing results, issues, and resolutions. 
- Install and maintain automation test tools and support Reinsurance in creation of automated test scripts. 
- Synthesize complex or diverse information, collect and research test result data.
- Coordinate release packaging, testing and acceptance in conjunction with testing organization; communication of release plans and issues; coordinating with deployment team for release

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- QA testing experience, preferably with automated testing tool(s) such as WinRunner, Quick Test Pro, and/or Test Director.
- Distributed application source code management / build automation experience
- Some relational database programming experience, preferably Oracle (Oracle client, SQL, PLSQL)
- Project management exposure
- Strong communication skills with an ability to resolve issues without creating conflict.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Acts as a team leader within a development or operations maintenance organization to assist management in accomplishing unit objectives.

Provides assignments to one or more team members and provides performance feedback to team members.

Provides development recommendations and develops a partnership with the business department.
