SUMMARY:
The e-Learning Solutions Organization seeks a highly motivated developer to join our Development team in creating dynamic, interactive e-learning solutions in collaboration with our Performance Consulting, Instructional Design, and Delivery Teams. Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable in design, programming and development of engaging computer based training that are functional, effective and intuitive.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Create interactive or animated graphics and videos using a variety of tools, including the Adobe Creative Suite, including Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as 3D Studio Max, and simulation tools, including Captivate and Camstasia.
- Develop training programs, individually and in conjunction with an Instructional Designer
- Develop a range of products including online courses, simulations, assessments, etc.
- Effectively partner with business leaders, subject matter experts, and other groups
- Integrate computer based training programs with relational databases of learning content and tracking
- Test and document programs
- Maintain current knowledge in the state of the art in eLearning development, in a self-driven manner
- Design web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality; develops infrastructure and applications related to pages
- May make hardware or software purchasing recommendations regarding web development
- Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor''s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years experience as an interactive courseware developer
- 3 - 5 years experience in graphic/multimedia design, especially related to computer-based training and/or online delivery
- Experience in editing audio and video clips a plus
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to perform graphic design and user interface design, and design production graphics for eLearning courseware, presentations, and print materials
- Understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to work independently, with little supervision, and as a member of a cross-functional team
- Collaborate and partner with team members and subject matter experts from various fields in an effort to develop dynamic learning solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to communicate complex ideas and information effectively, clearly and concisely
- Proficiency in e-learning development software such as Lectora, Articulate, Captivate, Firefly, Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Illustrator, Adobe Premier, Adobe Audition; additional software includes Microsoft Office Suite
- Effectively prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule work activities to meet objectives and goals
- Remain current with and have a thorough understanding of the latest industry technology tools and trends in online education. Share knowledge with team and implement improvements when needed
- Knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
- Proficiency with Adobe Flash including Action Script programming
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Familiarity with server-based technology, learning management systems, databases a plus
- Excellent graphical design skills
