SUMMARY: Reports to Underwriting Director Travelers Express Plus. Responsible for the profitability, growth and retention of Travelers Express Plus business that is consistent with underwriting strategies as well as short and long-term business plans. Operates within authority levels as delegated by Underwriting Director Travelers Express Plus and Regional Underwriting Director. Participates in setting agency goals in assigned territory. Works with Sales Executive to identify and generate new business in accordance with Select underwriting appetite.
PRIMARY DUTIES: Support long and short term business strategies. Support profit, growth and expense management goals. Achieve overall profit retention and growth objectives as assigned by Underwriting Director Travelers Express Plus Follow Select Individual Account Underwriting Best Practices when evaluating new and renewal Travelers Express Plus accounts. Underwrite and price accounts in support of strategic business planning activities designed to increase the presence in the market of Travelers Express Plus Select Accounts. Provides input to Underwriting Director Travelers Express Plus and Sales Director during the agency planning process Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal resources (e.g., Risk Control, Claim, Operations, etc.) to ensure delivery of all related service to Select clients. Respond to underwriting and sales strategies and standards by developing a marketing plan that reflects local market competitive conditions and, at the same time, meets our growth and profit goals. Meet with agency personnel to maintain and develop positive and productive relationships. In this capacity, assures that our contractual commitments are met and negotiates programs of insurance. Demonstrates the ability to build partnerships with other business groups and identifies and delivers agency solutions and product solutions at the account level. Maintains an understanding of all Travelers products, services and solutions and initiates discussions with other business units as appropriate. Maintain the highest level of customer service

Underwriting Strong technical underwriting skills. Demonstrates good working knowledge of property and casualty underwriting for the Travelers Express Plus Segment. Strong analytical ability. Strong knowledge of all risk selection and pricing tools and techniques within Select and Commercial Accounts. Strong working knowledge of all Select products and contracts. Strong knowledge of Property Casualty business and products. Proven ability to take intelligent risk
