Job Title: Assistant Crime Product Manager / ID Fraud Location: CT-Hartford
Business Unit: Travelers-Bond & Financial Products / Management Liability / Product Management Group
Reports to: Product Manager / Crime
Job Description: Carry out the core functions of Product Management for the Identity Fraud Expense Reimbursement Product (ID Fraud). Also, assist the Crime Product Manager with core management functions for Crime products and initiatives.
The position requires regular collaboration and to establish working relationships with the following groups: Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, Claim, Marketing, Operations, Product Solutions, Bond & Financial Products Business Units, Travelers Enterprise Business Units and external Producers.
The position will involve limited travel to visit Field Offices, Producers and Insureds.
Core Product Management Functions:
Product Strategy In consultation with Senior Management and in support of Business Unit objectives, develop and communicate product strategy and all relevant information for delivery to field and home office staff. Provide leadership, including technical support, for execution of stated strategy.
Product Performance Measurement - On a regular basis, present Portfolio Reviews for Senior Management offering the statistical measurement of product performance against the stated strategy.
Underwriting - Develop and communicate underwriting guidelines and target markets. Assist field and home office underwriting staffs in implementing and adhering to the established guidelines. Provide underwriting approval assistance for ID Fraud accounts requiring over-authority approval. Assist field and home office underwriting staffs in achieving their budgeted financial results (premium, loss ratio, retention, commissions, pricing and new business production).
Marketing / Product Promotion - Support sales goals and plans of field offices. Help build producer relationships through direct and indirect contact. Lead in the development of marketing support material and tools.
Training - Develop training materials applicable to all levels of field office and home office underwriting staffs. Lead and directly participate in training of personnel.
Responsibilities include:
Portfolio Management-Continuously monitor and manage the ID Fraud book of business across the business units of Bond and Financial Products in order to maintain profitability, premium growth and product quality. Monitor competitive circumstances and adjust to new trends as needed.
Measure results and provide recommended direction to Senior Management for the maintenance of profitability and growth of the ID Fraud Product. The position is responsible for preparation of quarterly Portfolio Reviews to Senior Management.
Subject Matter Expert - The position is expected be the internal and external subject matter expert within the Travelers organization as respects all facets of not only the ID Fraud Product, but also, the broad subject of ID Fraud and Crime as it relates to commerce and the general population.
Communication - The position entails written and verbal communication regarding all aspects of the ID Fraud and Crime products on a regular basis to a wide range of constituents including, Sr. Managers, underwriting and claims personnel, agents and other interested parties.
Actively seek feedback regarding strategies and work with the Business Units to take actions necessary to address issues.
Underwriting Support / Business Development - Assist Field and Home Office personnel with business development including all efforts associated with achieving budgeted results. Deliver prioritized service to the business units within Bond and Financial Products.
Product Promotion - Develop and implement strategies which will effectively promote the ID Fraud and Crime products. Collaborate with Marketing staff to produce materials which highlight the ID Fraud and Crime products and contribute to profitable growth. Identify promotional opportunities for the products.
Training - The position will develop all relevant training materials related to the ID Fraud product and assist with the production of Crime materials. The position is required to participate in all designated company training activities. Regularly promote the growth and development of less experienced staff members through training and educational opportunities.

Advanced analytical skills. Demonstrate an ability to analyze complex issues in order to determine exposures and successful solutions.
