Job Summary: -Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve claims at the most reasonable cost up to $50,000 in value. -Satisfy customer needs and ensure file quality.
Critical Responsibilities: -Provide voice-to-voice contact within 24 hours. -Obtain facts to determine coverage, liability and causation/damages. -Evaluate legal liability, and negotiate and resolve claims. -Establish and maintain appropriate claim and expense reserves. -Handle litigation, as directed. Develop litigation plan with staff or panel counsel, and track and control legal expenses. Assure cost-effective resolution. -Achieve timely and optimal payout results on file inventory. Provide quality customer service and control payout. -Understand medical terminology and standard medical procedures, as required of line of business. -Handle potential fraud claims, working closely with SIU.
Competencies / Qualifications: -Business Knowledge / System Management -Communication -Customer Focus -Problem Solving / Decision Making -College degree or comparable work experience -Florida State 620 license within one year from hire date. -Completion of claim handling training program -Strong negotiation and customer service skills -File Management
