|
Technical in-house environmental underwriting referral position operating under direct supervision.
1. Review, rating and the underwriting of new business and renewal business at the direction of the AVP.
2.Review and negotiate policy terms and conditions including manuscript wording with the assistance of the AVP.
3.Update and maintain various logs and prepare reports as required.
4. Perform related duties and special projects to assist in ensuring the success of the operation. May participate in audits.
5. Marketing calls to Brokers and prospective Insureds generally with the assistance of the AVP may be required.
6. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires knowledge of underwriting concepts and procedures, including, but not limited to coverage issues and computers. Bachelors degree or equivalent training plus 0-2 yers of relevant and progressively more responsible work experience. The ability to effectively interact with internal departments is required. Strong verbal and written communications and organizational skills. Strong analytical and decision-making skills also required.
