Essential Job Functions – Sr. Service Rep, Richarson, Texas
Under general supervision, processes complex membership inquiries or responds to and resolves complex customer inquiries received via telephone, internet/interactive, or written correspondence.

May perform duties unique to the area, such as:

• Processes membership requests and inquiries from customers within established performance standards/metrics. Calculate/quote case and surrender values, conserve life insurance membership, provide payment/billing and loan information.
• Handles complex customer inquiries, membership transactions and billing inquiries within established performance standards/metrics.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the products and services offered and understands the impacts to other areas prior to taking action or making decisions. Ability to interpret multiple benefit plans and legislative changes.
• Coaches and trains other team members on functions of team.
• Analyzes, investigates, and resolves most issues and direct resolution.
• Provides prompt, courteous and accurate customer service for all inquiries.
• Prepares written correspondence to address specific needs.
• Actively participates in team environment/activities such as workflow prioritization and monitoring, compliance with service standards and policies and procedures, problem solving, decision making and coordination with other support functions.
• Maintains a good working relationship with internal and external customers.
• Participates on cross-functional teams and act as a technical resource.
• Assists team leader on metric analysis. Requests cross-functional support, when necessary, to maintain service metrics.
• Provide ad-hoc spreadsheet reports, as needed.
• Perform case audits at the request of the customer, marketing support, manager, and customer service team members. Designs audit report to effectively explain account balance to customer.
• Balances lock box and shadow box daily.
• Identifies issues with bank and reports them to the manager of accounting for presentation and resolution with the bank.
• Review and resolve system issues identified on control reports or in day to day processing.


Job Requirements – Sr. Service Rep , Richardson, Texas
The selected candidate will meet the following criteria:
• Requires two years of college or its equivalent.
• Requires three years customer service, accounting or insurance related experience in a high volume, interactive environment or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of PC technology and administrative systems.
• Effective interpersonal skills with emphasis on team environment.
• Effective organizational, mathematical, analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Self directed and motivated.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, AS400 Query and Genelco Systems.
• Typing 35 WPM
