This position will be located in Atlanta GA The State Regulatory Compliance Director is responsible for planning, implementing, overseeing and monitoring state regulatory compliance for a state or group of states. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: Acts as primary contact for state regulators within assigned areas of responsibility. Also serves as the Compliance Accountable Person for implementation of all new legislation applicable to the state or group of states. Also monitors compliance with existing legislation. Partners closely with Legal, Regulatory Affairs, State Affairs, and Ethics & Compliance on all regulatory matters. Coordinates and facilitates on regulatory issues with other areas of the company impacting the state or group of states, for example individual business, senior business, specialty, operational and CEE business areas. Provides leadership and direction for state market conduct examinations and other focused examinations conducted by states within areas of responsibility, including the facilitation of all exams and the compliance with corrective action plans resulting from an exam. Ensures that regulatory developments are timely communicated where appropriate and with all applicable parties. Ensures that all state-required product filings, annual and ad hoc filing of reports for all related entities are submitted timely. |
| Qualifications | Requires a BA/BS degree; 7-9 years related experience in health insurance and regulatory compliance; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong PC skills also required. Business-related travel required.
