PRIMARY PURPOSE: To supervise banking staff and be responsible for the analysis and reconciliation of client bank accounts between the claims management system and bank statements; to provide problem resolution to clients, local offices, and direct reports; and to be responsible for close-out files and notifications to clients and local offices. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Analyzes and reconciles bank statements to transaction registers for specific client.
- Reviews and approves bank reconciliations completed by staff.
- Ensures that bank reconciliation items are researched and resolved in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensures outstanding checks are monitored and researched timely.
- Reviews and approves completed state reporting specific to unclaimed property.
- Provides support and problem resolution to clients, local offices, and other banking staff; answers calls for problem resolution.
- Maintains master file for close-out files.
- Responsible for Historical and Current Bank Reconciliation files.
- Identifies problems and issues during bank reconciliation review process; recommends solutions; works with IT and Operations to resolve problems and issues.
- Supports the Total Quality Management initiative.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Administers company personnel policies in all areas and follows company staffing standards and training recommendations.
- Interviews, hires and establishes colleague performance development plans; conducts colleague performance discussions.
- Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation to promote maximum performance.

| | Qualifications | Education & Licensing: Baccalaureate degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience: Six (6) years experience in the accounting field including two (2) years supervisory experience required. Skills & Knowledge: - Knowledgeable of accounting policies and practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
