Data Mining Analyst SR Responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses, which involve the design and execution of programs to extract data. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Develops and executes data mining analyses; uses program languages and statistical programs to extract data; develops new and standard reports utilizing data warehouse information; establishes and maintains strong knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, related programming languages and statistical programs, and data integrity issues; develops and supports data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design, implementation and security of database tables. Performs other duties as assigned. Data Mining Consultant Responsible for assisting with the development and execution of more complex data mining analyses to enhance reporting functionality and identify data relationships and patterns. Essential duties to include, but are not limited to: Extracts and collects data for performing queries and writing reports; establishes knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues; develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design, implementation and security of database tables; development of new standardized reporting using the data warehouse in addition to adhoc reports; research and analysis to determine solutions to issues relating to the data warehouse and how those solutions can be applied to resolve more complex reporting requirements; provides technical support in a leadership capacity to other associates on the team as required. This position requires the discipline to work independently as well as across teams to provide the support needed to identify and resolve issues. Performs other duties as assigned. |
Data Mining Analyst SR BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2-3 years related analytical experience required. PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in programming languages and programs such as Oracle PL/SQL, SAS, JCL, Business Objects, IBM mainframe utilities, COBOL and Easytrieve are required. Knowledge of the claim payment system supported by the team is a strong plus. Additional Client Reporting specific responsibilities may include SAVE reporting, creation of test plans, and testing Data Mining Consultant BS/BA, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 4-5 years related experience required. Strong analytical, organizational, PC, database, and problem-solving skills, along with exceptional written and oral communication skills required. Experience in programming languages such as Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle report design, SQL, SAS, Business Objects, IBM mainframe utilities, JCL, Cobol, and Easytrieve required. Additional Client Reporting specific responsibilities may include client specific vendor feeds, test plans and related testing, ability to develop and implement work improvements and processes, and document technical processes.
