The Manager, Reporting and Data Analysis is responsible for managing the data mining, analysis, and reporting of health care information on various care management programs for external and internal client use. Works with analysts and other management staff to coordinate the development and deployment of reporting solutions that demonstrate the value of services being provided. Understands client reporting needs and manages resources to meet those needs.
 
Essential duties to include, but are not limited to:
 
• Manages a group of exempt-level associates involved in the extraction, analysis and transformation of data from a data warehouse to robust reporting solutions
• Manages the development of reporting and analysis tools to support specific health care information needs
• Manages the development of standard reporting processes, development prioritization and release management
• Ensures that reporting solutions are kept current and up to date based on changes to source systems, identifies standardized solutions when possible
• Coordinates preparation, monitoring and communication of specified performance metrics for internal leadership review
• Works with other management staff and key personnel to develop strategic and tactical plans on the development of client reporting strategy that showcases program value
• Works with Product, Operations and Sales staff to determine appropriate metric defintions and ensuring consistency within products, departments and reports
• Management duties to include hiring, training, coaching, counseling and evaluating performance of direct reports
• Performs other duties as assigned
 


Qualifications
BA/BS and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required, MBA preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, planning, technical, and managerial skills required. SQL and/or SAS experience strongly preferred. Healthcare experience strongly preferred. Typically 5+ years experience analyzing and reporting on health care data and providing direction for professional exempt employees. Knowledge of IM technologies and analytical tools, health care data, HMC programs and services, report prototyping process, and customer information needs preferred.
