As an agent operating as an independent contractor, you will be representing American Family Insurance products exclusively. Following an extensive training period, you will learn and grow under the direction of a District Sales Manager. What is the process to becoming an American Family Agent? Successfully obtaining Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance licenses, undergoing a background check and interviews are all part of the appointment process. Obtaining Series 6 and 63 Security licenses is also required within the first 12 months of beginning training with American Family Insurance.Training and support offered by American Family Insurance to new agents: Training consists of classroom instruction and field experiences designed to provide the core skills and knowledge needed to be successful American Family agents.
