As an insurance agent operating as an independent contractor, you will be representing American Family Insurance products exclusively. Following an extensive training period, you will learn and grow under the direction of an experienced District Manager. Successfully obtaining Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance licenses, various background checks, performance evaluations, and interviews are all part of the approval process. These steps help the candidate and American Family, decide if the agent career is right for them. Obtaining Series 6 and 63 Security licenses are also required within the first 12 months of beginning training with American Family Insurance. Training and support offered by American Family Insurance to new agents Training consists of educational and field experiences designed to provide the core skills, knowledge, and personal characteristics needed to be effective American Family agents. New agents will be coached and evaluated often by their District Manager.
