Commercial Lines Underwriter Small Business Accounts While maintaining a profitable territory book of business, you will be responsible for accepting, rejecting and pricing new and renewal commercial lines business, concentrating on accounts with premiums up to $25,000. The position will be moving toward increased responsibility for new business production and working with our agencies to develop opportunities. Duties would include the timely review of applications, renewals and endorsements within Westfield''s underwriting guidelines; performing agency audits; evaluating loss referrals; developing action plans for negative trends and large losses; and keeping current on issues that impact the underwriting process. The selected candidate would also provide expertise and assistance in designing new systems and process improvements. Requirements Qualified candidates will be required to have a Bachelors / Associates degree from an accredited college / university and a minimum of 5 years of P & C commercial lines experience OR without a degree, a minimum of five to 10 years of P&C commercial lines underwriting experience and possess a CPCU, CIC, or AU designation or in the process of attaining one of these designations. OR a Bachelor''s/Associate''s degree from an accredited college/university and two years of P&C commercial lines underwriting experience or three years of P&C personal lines underwriting experience.
