Lead Business Analyst
Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company, a provider of Group Benefits and Annuities since 1969, is looking for a talented, multi-hued Business Analyst with Life/Disability and/or Annuity experience to join its growing eCommerce Department. This person will be expected to lead a core team of business users in the development and documentation of detailed business requirements for Web-based projects. The proven ability to act as a liaison between, and communicate effectively with, the business areas and technical staff is imperative.
We are also searching for the ability to: •Demonstrate basic project management skills. •Work independently with little or no direction. •Identify, articulate and resolve issues of all types. •Work collaboratively in a small team environment. •Adapt to shifts in roles and responsibilities, depending on the project. •Excel in a highly ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
Experience necessary includes: •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Advanced experience with MS Office suite and Lotus Notes. •Strong analytical/problem solving skills to deal with complex business problems. •Strong time management skills with the ability and desire to “own” projects. •Proven experience at learning new skills and knowledge on the job. •Working knowledge of web usability and experience working collaboratively with Web Designers to prototype web user interfaces. •BS / BA preferred or equivalent work experience in technology-focused field.
