Job Duties:
� Underwrites, prices and processes all major lines of commercial insurance for individual accounts within countrywide programs (developed for associations, trade & affinity groups). Underwriting is conducted within an individual grant of authority for all lines.
� Underwrites and negotiates exception referrals directly with agents/brokers who serve as Program Managers. Provides consulting assistance for program managers through knowledge of Commercial Accounts policies and procedures, commercial products, claims management systems, billing systems and issuance systems.
� In conjunction with Program team, is responsible for Program production and profit including new business sales, renewal price increases/retention and account development.
� Performs on and off-site Program underwriting audits against Program parameters (specifying Program Manager authority/responsibilities) and develops, implements and monitors corrective actions when necessary.
� Participates in home office functions including new systems initiatives, product management and compliance.
� Have skills to assume lead role with $15 million program and have excellent communication skills for dealing with Program Agency.

Experience (include skills and knowledge, e.g., proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; XX years experience in Property Underwriting - or Bond or Casualty or Customer Service; specify travel requirements):
� Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of property and casualty underwriting.
� Working knowledge of all major lines of insurance including workers compensation, automobile, general liability, property and excess liability. Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills with an affinity for teamwork.
� Policy issuance experience
� Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
� Program or target market experience preferred
� Three years or less
