Agribusiness Program Manager This sales-driven Manager is responsible for working with various agricultural customers and independent agents to develop insurance programs, oversees production, retention and profit for the agribusiness and farmowner lines business. We need a professional at the highest level of technical underwriting ability to represent Westfield among a defined territory of agencies. You will communicate between the agencies for the agribusiness and farmowner segment and make decisions regarding risk acceptability and pricing, as well as provide agency service and control of expenses. The selected professional will use his or her knowledge of the agricultural market to understand current issues facing farm and commercial agribusiness insureds. The Agribusiness Program Manager will underwrite and advise on large and/or complex commercial lines accounts, the majority of which is new business, to include applications or endorsements and/or renewal requests for existing business. While determining pricing, you will evaluate exposure to loss and accept/reject risk on behalf of Westfield and operate under company guidelines and limits of authority as outlined for this position. You will collaborate with sales agents and make joint sales calls, as well as provide initial and follow-up services with our loss control representatives. The ability to work with all levels of employees and management in other departments (Claims, Loss Control, Premium Audit, Underwriting, etc.) is paramount. The Manager is a subject matter expert for agribusiness and farmowner accounts and must be a 'go to' communicator for both internal and external sources. Requirements A Bachelor''s degree is needed with a minimum of 10 years'' P&C commercial underwriting experience OR 10-15 or more years of P&C commercial background handling agribusiness and farmowner accounts. AU, CIC or CPCU designation is ideal. You must have a driving record that conforms to our policy guidelines and valid driver''s license. Some overnight travel is required. Office location for this position will be discussed on a by applicant basis.
