Analyzes a multinational company''s exposures & hazards, financial ratios, casualty insurance coverage, loss history, pricing targets, and desired program structure in order to recommend whether to proceed with an account and under what terms and conditions. Builds and maintains productive relationships with domestic and foreign industry professionals. Individual account responsibility extends to premium and premium equivalency in excess of $5 million.
This position includes underwriting both domestic and foreign commercial casualty lines (WC, GL, Auto). Domestic and foreign travel required in order to develop and maintain broker and partner relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of commercial casualty insurance coverages and underwriting practices; ability to analyze financial statements, hazards, coverage, losses, pricing terms, and competitive positions; effective mathematical, interpersonal, and organizational skills as normally obtained through a bachelor''s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years casualty underwriting experience. Demonstrates good communication skills, decision-making ability and the aptitude to continue to learn.
