Responsibilities
Lincoln General Insurance Company Mission:

Department Mission:
A company the size of LGIC needs a multi-faceted Loss Control/Risk Management department. Its purpose would be to Loss Control the account on the front end, manage the risk once we write it, and provide value added safety services to our policyholders in order to maintain an acceptable risk. This would be an invaluable benefit to LGIC, our business partners, our stockholders, and to our customers. By forming such a department, a large window of opportunity exists where we can start to manage the risk and not let the risk mange us.
Position Purpose:
•Provide timely evaluation and risk assessment of new and renewal accounts as outlined in the Loss Control & UW program guidelines to ensure LGIC is writing sound, profitable business.
Result Accountabilities:
Administer the Loss Control process as follows:
•Upon receipt of new or renewal business, order timely Loss Control as outlined in the respective program UW guidelines. •Track and organize the Loss Control process to ensure timely completion and receipt of reports from Loss Control vendors. •Review all Loss Control reports and distribute to the program business partner, LG Underwriter for timely follow-up of all recommendations, and to Loss Control Tech to log into database. •Follow-up with the Program Contacts & LG Underwriters to ensure timely receipt of response to all survey recommendations & disposition of accounts. •Maintain a maximum timeframe of 60 days for entire Loss Control process. •Assist in the review of loss runs, large loss, & reinsurance reports for patterns (frequency, severity, etc.) for selected accounts and compile data, create spreadsheets, and prepare loss reports for management team. •Build and maintain productive relationships with UW, Claims / SIU, Loss Control Vendors, program business partners, and other Loss Control staff.

The incumbent for this position is required to continuously learn. In addition, the following knowledge, skills and abilities are required
Education
•BS degree or High School diploma with equivalent business industry experience required •Demonstration of self development through attainment of professional insurance designations or other related industry designations.
Experience
•Minimum 3 years of related work experience in Commercial Insurance Loss Control and / or Commercial UW, and / or Commercial Claims.
Skills
•Effective communicator •Excellent writing, analytical, and computer skills •Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload •Strong customer service skills and level of sensitivity •Exceptional attention to detail •Understands commercial line insurance products
