Essential Job Functions:
1.Researches, evaluates and recommends new information technology applications for life subsidiaries. Recommends architectural and design elements related to selections and system upgrades. Prepares cost analysis and gathers budget estimates for managementˇ¦s review.
2.Manages the implementation of the company enterprise level systems. This includes analyzing and evaluating infrastructure components, and insuring that all applications and services are installed on scalable, sustainable platforms. Work collaboratively with HCSC technical staff to insure systems appropriately provisioned and maintained.
3.Manages enterprise integration projects including those that create and support interfacing between Fort Dearborn systems.
4.Manages the Fort Dearborn technical support services and insures that coverage is aligned with customer needs. Oversees management of system problem resolutions when these arise beyond support supervisory level. Identify and link to key ITG personal where indicated.
5.Oversees and manages resources for key projects as assigned.
6.Responsible for initiating and managing key ITG relationships during the provision of technical services.
7.Evaluates architectural recommendations and makes clear recommendations regarding integration of new or enhanced systems within the network environment.
8.Manages staff of technical and support staff. Selects and supervises project team members from various areas of the organization on a project basis. Establishes training plans and objectives to ensure proper training and development of all project team members.
9.Prioritizes upcoming projects and establishes individual project schedules. Monitors the status of ongoing projects and provides periodic updates to management.
10.Participates on corporate task force, including ITG task force, consisting of managers and directors who establish priorities for life subsidiariesˇ¦ systems functions. Participates in overall information systems strategic planning.
11.Participates on Disaster Recovery Team and responsible for backup recovery plan.
12.Responsible for preparing and monitoring Systems Development budget. Reports variance from annual or project budgets, and develops action plans to minimize or eliminate future variance.
13.Keeps current on state-of-the-art information technology trends in software, hardware and network capability fields.
14.Gathers and consults with senior management on group systems and software/hardware vendor contracts.
15.Complies with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
16.Maintains complete confidentiality of company business.
17.Maintains communication with management regarding developments within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
Position Requirements: The selected candidate will meet the following criteria: „XBachelorˇ¦s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems or technology discipline. „XFive years systems management experience with 2 years of supervisory experience. „XPlanning and project management skills, technical skills including client/server technologies and network operating / database systems. „XVerbal and written communication skills. „XAbility to manage projects.
Preferred Skills: „XInsurance or financial services systems management experience.
