Description | Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied operational metrics. Typically provides technical assistance to lower level staff. Essential duties include but are not limited to: delivers quality analytical support on local provider negotiations and providing strategic guidance on national initiatives; utilize data to build a comprehensive picture of current and proposed reimbursement levels; creates and maintains databases to track operational performance; analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures; develops and analyzes operational performance reports (e.g., for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies; creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. May require taking operational issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. May make recommendations based upon data analysis. Performs other duties as assigned. |
| Qualifications | BS/BA, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 3-5 years experience required. Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software required. Experience with institutional and/or professional provider analytics strongly preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with good written communication skills required. Must display a positive work attitude. Ability to learn new skills and tools in a quick paced environment a plus.
