Job Purpose:
Plans, coordinates and implements regulatory strategies of NCCI initiatives, programs, filings, loss costs, rates and/or legislative initiatives that require governmental approval. Prepares documents required by governmental agencies (State and National) to obtain necessary approval for regulated products. Coordinates all related government interactions and compliance activities within the organization and state and/or national agencies to support the regulatory, rate and legislative process. Primary focus of this position will be managing/coordinating relationships between NCCI and Departments of Labor or Workers'' Compensation Commission.
Major Duties:
Define, Implements and manages national and state strategies for assigned governmental agencies.
File and secure approval of NCCI initiatives, programs, and fillings to ensure a fair and fiscally sound state workers compensation system for all stakeholders. Maintain and enhance regulatory and industry relations.
Support legislative process and other related Workers Compensation activities such as residual markets, loss costs/rates, industry trade organizations, etc.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
College graduate and/or 10-15 years of workers compensation, government affairs or insurance experience.
Knowledge of insurance legislative process and workers compensation and understanding of NCCI procedures and manuals.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
CPCU, Insurance Institute of America designations (ARM, AU, ARC, etc.), law degree
